Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics seeks an Associate Director, R&D AI Solutions & Analytics to drive AI-enabled analytics across Research & Development. You will lead strategic and technical efforts, partner with Digital/IT and vendors, and shape data-driven decision making.

You will mentor staff, lead rapid prototyping, and scale AI-powered use cases to improve clinical and operational performance, aligning with portfolio strategy and development priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Life Sciences, Business Analytics, or related field.
• 8+ years’ experience in analytics, AI solutions, or digital innovation in pharma/biotech/healthcare.
• Hands-on experience building AI-driven data products, analytics solutions, and operational dashboards.
• Experience in regulated R&D (e.g., clinical development, safety, or regulatory).
• Knowledge of CDISC and FHIR.
• Experience partnering with Digital/IT and external vendors to implement enterprise analytics/AI.
• Ability to manage multiple initiatives; travel domestically/internationally.

Responsibilities

• Drive build and adoption of R&D analytics and AI solutions via stakeholder engagement, user feedback, and performance measurement.
• Promote scalable, reusable approaches to R&D analytics delivery, AI enablement, and operational intelligence.
• Mentor junior staff/contractors; provide technical guidance.
• Lead rapid prototyping, proof-of-concept, and innovation initiatives aligned to R&D priorities.
• Partner with Digital/IT teams and external vendors to deploy and integrate enterprise AI/analytics.
• Scale AI-powered use cases (e.g., clinical operations copilots, enrollment analytics, workflow automation, decision-support tools).
• Identify, prioritize, and execute high-value analytics/AI use cases aligned to business objectives.
• Develop operational dashboards, metrics, and intelligent analytics products to improve clinical/operational performance.
• Design and scale insights supporting Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, Portfolio Strategy, and other R&D functions.
