Qualifications

• Experience in freight forwarding, logistics, NVOCC, or international transportation is required.
• Proven experience with quoting and pricing is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of air and/or ocean freight and/or domestic shipping.
• Ability to produce accurate quotes quickly and under pressure.
• Pricing is a critical part of winning business and requires commercial mindset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive air and ocean freight quotations.
• Analyze customer requirements and determine routing and pricing options.
• Source rates from carriers, NVOCCs, airlines, overseas agents and other providers.
• Work with sales to respond quickly to RFQs and opportunities.
• Support pricing strategies to win new business while maintaining profitability.
• Review carrier and vendor rates to identify best solutions.
• Assist with spot quotes, contract rates and customer-specific pricing.
• Communicate with sales, operations, carriers and overseas offices to ensure accurate quotations.
• Maintain pricing information, rate sheets and quotation records.
• Follow up on outstanding quotes and convert quotes into shipments.
• Provide ongoing pricing support to the sales team.
• Step in to assist with additional requirements when business levels rise.

We are looking for a hands-on Pricing & Quoting Analyst to join a growing freight forwarding team in Los Angeles.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the sales team by building competitive quotes, sourcing rates, coordinating with carriers and overseas agents, and helping turn opportunities into profitable business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Experience in freight forwarding, logistics, NVOCC, or International Transportation OR Domestic
• Proven experience with quoting and pricing is highly preferred
• Strong understanding of air and/or ocean freight and/or Domestic
• Experience working with carrier rates, routing, surcharges and international freight costs
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate quotes quickly
• Commercially minded with an understanding that pricing is a critical part of winning business
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple quotes simultaneously
• Comfortable working closely with sales and taking ownership of deadlines
• High-energy, hands-on attitude - someone who wants to get involved rather than wait to be told what to do
• Willingness to put in additional effort when business demands it
