Prepare timely and accurate quotations for:
Sea Freight (FCL/LCL – Import & Export)
Air Freight (Import & Export)
Inland trucking and other value-added services
Compute and analyze freight costs, surcharges, duties, taxes, and other charges.
Ensure correct application of mark‑ups and target margins.
Review and validate costing sheets before release to Sales.
2. Rate Sourcing & Negotiation
Request and negotiate rates with:
Shipping lines
Airlines
Co‑loaders
Trucking providers
Overseas agents
Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and service providers.
Monitor market rate fluctuations and industry trends.
4. Database & Documentation Management
Maintain updated rate sheets, tariffs, and pricing databases.
Ensure proper documentation of quotations and approvals.
Keep organized records of carrier contracts and rate agreements.
Prepare periodic pricing and margin reports for management review.
Work closely with Sales Team to provide competitive rates.
Coordinate with Operations to confirm feasibility of quoted services.
Provide clarifications on pricing components when needed.
Assist in bidding and tender submissions.
6. Compliance & Policy Adherence
Ensure quotations follow company pricing structure and approval matrix.
Adhere to financial controls and internal audit requirements.
Maintain confidentiality of company pricing strategies.
