Job summary

Charles E Gillman Company in Arizona is seeking a quote/engineering support professional to simplify complex build pricing for high-rel military and medical harnesses. You will work under the Engineering Manager and help ensure timely quotes and accurate BOMs.

Responsibilities include researching tooling, entering BOMs into the kNet quoting system, maintaining assigned goals, and supporting KPIs by understanding the product firsthand to improve quoting accuracy and cycle times.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with 6 months of manufacturing experience or a technical degree with 4 years in manufacturing cable harnesses.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAD design software.
• English, written and spoken, 60% minimum.

Responsibilities

• Quoting will be the main responsibility.
• Research tooling and equipment and enter BOMs into kNet (Quoting system).
• Maintain assigned goals and support department KPIs.
• Understand the product firsthand to support the team.

This position reports directly to the Engineering Manager

• Will be mainly responsible for quoting.
• Their duties include researching tooling and equipment and entering BOMs into kNet (Quoting system)
• Maintain assigned goals.
• Most importantly, they need to support the department's KPIs. They need to be willing to understand the product firsthand.

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in engineering with 6 months of experience in manufacturing, or a degree in a technical field with four years of experience in manufacturing cable harnesses.

Computer knowledge in:

Microsoft Office.

CAD design software.

English, written and spoken, 60% minimum.

Other Duties:

designing, implementing, and reviewing the procedures and equipment involved in the manufacturing process.

automation techniques, testing new systems for efficiency, and planning factory layouts to maximize production efficiency.

Balancing lines.
