Job summary

Synerfac Technical Staffing seeks an Industrial Engineer / Quoting Specialist to support engineering and manufacturing operations by delivering precise estimates and cabling solutions. You will design cable and wire harness assemblies, review drawings, and prepare technical quotes for customers.

Ideal candidates have engineering education or equivalent experience, strong Excel skills, and CAD proficiency (AutoCAD/SolidWorks).

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required or equivalent experience.
• Experience with cable design, wire harness assembly, or engineering quoting essential.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications accurately.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
• Excellent written communication skills for client emails.
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates, quotes, and BOMs for cable and harness assemblies based on customer specifications and drawings.
• Review customer drawings and specs to determine materials, wire lengths, and components required.
• Design/modify cable and wire harness assemblies using CAD tools, ensuring compliance with standards.
• Communicate with clients via email to gather requirements and provide technical support during quoting.
• Maintain organized records of quotes, designs, and project documentation for audit purposes.
• Collaborate with production and purchasing to assess feasibility, material availability, and timelines.
• Create detailed spreadsheets using Excel to support engineering projects and improvements.
• Assist in engineering projects by providing technical documentation and process analysis.
• Stay updated on wire harness manufacturing standards to ensure compliance and innovation.

About The Role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Industrial Engineer / Quoting Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with both customers and internal teams to develop efficient, cost‑effective battery cable and wire harness products. Qualifications

Candidates should possess an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, or have equivalent practical experience. Prior experience with cable design, wire harness assembly, or engineering quoting is essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications accurately. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite is required, along with excellent written communication skills for effective email interactions with clients. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously are critical. Preferences include experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks, a background in electrical cable manufacturing or industrial design, and familiarity with wire harness standards like IPC/WHMA‑A‑620. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is considered a plus, enhancing communication with diverse clients and teams.
