Job summary

Charles E Gillman Company is seeking a quoting-focused engineer in Arizona to support the engineering team with tooling research, BOM entry in the kNet system, and KPI-backed production goals. This on-site role requires a manufacturing mindset and a results-driven attitude.

The candidate will work closely with the Engineering Manager and must understand the product firsthand while maintaining accurate quotes and data integrity for all high-reliability cable harness projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical field with experience in manufacturing cable harnesses.
• English, written and spoken, 60% minimum.
• Computer knowledge: Microsoft Office and CAD design software.

Responsibilities

• Will be mainly responsible for quoting.
• Researching tooling and equipment and entering BOMs into kNet (Quoting system).
• Maintain assigned goals.
• Support the department's KPIs and understand the product firsthand.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in engineering/technical field with manufacturing experience

This position reports directly to the Engineering Manager

• Will be mainly responsible for quoting.


• Their duties include researching tooling and equipment and entering BOMs into kNet (Quoting system)


• Maintain assigned goals.


• Most importantly, they need to support the department's KPIs. They need to be willing to understand the product firsthand.

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 6 months of experience in manufacturing, or a degree in a technical field with four years of experience in manufacturing cable harnesses.

Computer knowledge in:

Microsoft Office.

CAD design software.

English, written and spoken, 60% minimum.

Other Duties

designing, implementing, and reviewing the procedures and equipment involved in the manufacturing process.

automation techniques, testing new systems for efficiency, and planning factory layouts to maximize production efficiency.

Balancing lines.
