Job summary

Linn-Benton Community College is seeking a Parts Inventory Control Aid at the Advanced Transportation Technology Center in Lebanon, OR. This Learn & Earn position requires student enrollment and satisfactory academic progress.

You will organize parts, tools and chemicals, assist staff, and maintain inventory records using a computer system. The role supports the Automotive Technology department and promotes hands-on learning for LBCC students.

Qualifications

• Must maintain enrollment in at least 6 credits at LBCC and have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or better.
• Eligible Learn & Earn student employees must meet program requirements.

Responsibilities

• Organize and display automotive tools, supplies, parts, and chemicals for easy identification.
• Assist staff in locating tools, supplies, parts, and chemicals.
• Receive, stock, face and rotate items in the parts room.
• Sort surplus items for recycling or disposal.
• Use computer to track inventory accuracy.
• Keep the parts room clear of boxes and debris.

Job Summary

This posting is for a Learn & Earn position. To be eligible for Learn & Earn positions you must maintain enrollment in at least six (6) credits at LBCC, maintain satisfactory academic progress throughout each term and maintain cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or better (some positions may require a higher GPA ).

Essential Duties

1. Organize and display automotive tools, supplies, parts, and chemicals for easy identification.
2. Assist staff in finding automotive tools, supplies, parts, and chemicals.
3. Assist in receiving, stocking, facing and rotating supplies, parts, tools and chemicals in the parts room.
4. Sort through items in parts room determining what is surplus, recycling, shred and garbage.
5. Use computer to track supplies, parts, and chemicals ensuring inventory accuracy.
6. Keep automotive parts room accessible and clear of boxes and debris

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Work environment is a balance of office, shop and storage room settings using computer equipment.
• Position involves periods of extended standing, climbing, stooping, kneeling, lifting and carrying light to medium weight(10-50 lbs.).

Education and Experience

• Must maintain enrollment in at least 6 credits at LBCC, maintain satisfactory academic progress throughout each term and maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or better to be eligible to work in a Learn & Earn student employee capacity at Linn-Benton Community College.

• Requires the ability to perform the duties of the position efficiently and effectively.
• Must be able to read and write in English.
• Must have good attention to detail.
• Must be able to operate a keyboard, computer, and scanner.
