The Quick Service Team Member at University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Abel Dining Center works in a fast-paced, made-to-order setting using the mobile ordering platform. You will perform back-of-house duties, prepare ingredients, assemble orders, manage stations, and help ensure quality and waste control.

This essential role supports dining services and contributes to a welcoming campus environment. We offer benefits through UNL and require the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 100

• High School education plus one year of experience in a work environment required; equivalency considered.

Description of Work

The Quick Service Team Member is an key position within Dining Services. This position will work within Abel Dining Center, which is one of the quick serve made to order concepts that relies on the mobile ordering platform for orders. As a Quick Service Team Member, you will:

• Perform all back of the house kitchen duties, including ingredient and food preparation, inventory, cooking and assembling orders, setting up and closing stations, recipe preparation, dish machine operations and cleaning.
• Build orders based on established processes, procedures, guidelines, and recipes.
• Monitor food quality, food presentation, and control food waste.
• Assist within other areas as needed and other duties assigned.

This position is considered essential.
