California Automotive Retail Group in Newark, CA is seeking an automotive service technician to diagnose, repair, and service vehicles with a focus on quality and efficiency. You will work in a state-of-the-art shop, using advanced diagnostic tools, adhering to safety standards, and delivering excellent customer service while maintaining high performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• ASE certification or technical degree preferred.
• One year in a service department or equivalent experience.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Test systems and components to ensure they are secure and working.
• Isolate problems and inspect for proper operation.
• Drive vehicles for testing and refill fluids as needed.
• Check tire pressure and lubricate fittings.
• Install oil drain plug and new oil filter, communicate oil levels to teammates.
• Diagnose and repair with accuracy and efficiency.
• Replace worn parts before breakdowns.
• Use power and hand tools to perform tasks.

Responsibilities
