Description

POSITION INFORMATION

Under the direct supervision of the Service Manager, this position performs basic vehicle maintenance work as assigned and in accordance with dealer and factory standards.

BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform basic functions such as: oil changes, tire rotations, multi-point inspections, replace wiper blades, etc as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy
• Communicate effectively with service team and assigned service advisor regarding the status and any changes to repair order
• Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required
• Establish a finished product which adheres to factory and dealership procedures
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts
• Maintaining work area in a clean and orderly manner
• Operate all equipment in service area in a safe manner
• Documents all work performed as soon as the job is completed
• Uses basic mathematical skills
• Understands and follows federal, state and local regulations such as the disposal of hazardous wastes

Qualifications

WORKING CONDITIONS

This is a physically demanding position. Will stand eight or so hours per shift. Will get in and out of vehicles. Will drive vehicles. Will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
