Job summary

Maania Digital is seeking an experienced Active Directory Migration Engineer for Fort Meade, MD. You will design and support forest migrations, maintain user profiles, and automate tasks with PowerShell while coordinating with customers and stakeholders.

Candidates should have 7+ years in AD environments, hands-on QMM experience, and DoD 8570 Level II certification. Jira/Confluence use and Windows 10/11 enterprise support are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 7-10 years of related experience, or Master's with 5-8 years.
• 7+ years supporting enterprise Microsoft Active Directory environments.
• 3+ years hands-on with QMM or Migrator Pro for AD migrations.
• Experience designing forest migrations, consolidations, restructures.
• Strong AD architecture knowledge: forests, domains, DNS, FSMO, GPOs.
• Experience enabling SID History migrations and data preservation.
• Migrate Windows workstation profiles while keeping user data.
• PowerShell scripting for migration automation and reporting.
• Troubleshooting AD authentication, Kerberos, LDAP, DNS, trusts.
• Experience with Windows 10/11 enterprise environments.
• Experience engaging customers/stakeholders to gather requirements.
• Experience using Jira and Confluence.
• Security+ CE/CISSP or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Support enterprise AD migrations from planning through cutover.
• Design and implement forest migrations, consolidations, restructures.
• Automate migration tasks with PowerShell and provide reports.
• Coordinate with customers and stakeholders on status and issues.
• Troubleshoot authentication, Kerberos, LDAP, DNS, and trusts.
• Maintain documentation in Jira/Confluence.

• Minimum 7 years of experience supporting enterprise Microsoft Active Directory environments
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience utilizing Quest Migration Manager (QMM), Quest Migrator Pro, or equivalent enterprise Active Directory migration solutions
• Experience designing and supporting Active Directory forest migrations, consolidations, or restructures
• Strong understanding of Active Directory architecture including forests, domains, trusts, sites, replication, DNS, FSMO roles, Group Policy, and authentication
• Experience implementing and supporting SID History migration and resource access preservation
• Experience migrating Windows workstation profiles while maintaining user data and application functionality
• Strong PowerShell scripting skills supporting migration automation and reporting
• Experience troubleshooting Active Directory authentication, Kerberos, LDAP, DNS, and trust‑related issues
