Job summary

Dal-Tile is hiring a Mold Line Operator to support our manufacturing operations in Tennessee. The role focuses on safe and efficient operation of line equipment, adhering to QMS, material handling, sampling, and quality checks to ensure product integrity.

Responsibilities include routine equipment monitoring, documentation, following 5S and lean principles, and cross-team collaboration to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to operate manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follows the Quality Management System (QMS) and lean principles.
• Willingness to work across departments and support teammates.

Responsibilities

• Ensures safe and efficient operation of all assigned equipment.
• Follows the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Stocks lines/machines with needed materials.
• Transports, weighs, and mixes appropriate ingredients.
• Loads/unloads machines.
• Performs periodic checks on output.
• Creates samples and performs quality control checks.
• Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor.
• Maintains accurate documentation/records for safety, quality, and productivity.
• Follows SOPs, safe operating practices, 5S, standard work and lean principles.
• Keeps area safe, clean and organized.
• Supports a life-long learning environment and assists in developing others.
• Willing to cross department lines and help the team where needed.
• Performs other related duties as required.

MOLD LINE OPERATOR

HOURS: 6:45AM - 7PM (2-2-3)

Job Functions

• Ensures safe and efficient operation of all assigned equipment
• Follows the Quality Management System (QMS)
• Stocks lines/machines with needed materials
• Transports, weighs, and mixes appropriate ingredients
• Load/ unload machines
• Performs periodic checks on output
• Creates samples and performs quality control checks
• Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor including safety, quality, productivity, and systems-related issues
• Maintains accurate documentation/ records relative to safety, quality, and productivity for assigned area
• Follows standard operating procedures, safe operating practices, 5S, standard work and other lean manufacturing principles
• Keeps area safe, clean and organized
• Supports a life-long learning environment, enhancing own skills as well as assisting in the development of other team members
• Must be willing to cross department lines and help the team where needed
• Performs other related duties as required
