Job summary

The City of Savannah Police Department is seeking a highly qualified Quartermaster Supply Clerk to join our team. This role focuses on maintaining records, managing inventory, and coordinating purchases to support the department’s operations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of department policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of record keeping, report preparation, filing methods, and records management techniques.
• Knowledge of clerical practices and procedures, such as letter writing and the operation of standard office equipment.
• Skill in organizing work and setting priorities.
• Skill in reading with comprehension.
• Skill in the operation of standard office equipment.
• Skill in the operation of computers and various software programs.
• Skill in oral and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains files, logs, and records.
• Answers telephones; forwards calls; responds to customer concerns, complaints, and requests; receives service requests.
• Maintains inventory of supplies, equipment, materials, and tools; conducts daily/weekly/monthly cycle counts.
• Coordinates, assigns and reviews work; maintains standards and schedules.
• Coordinates purchasing, including processing purchase orders and vendor communications.
• Ensures proper storage, accountability, and warehousing of all supplies and equipment.
• Audits inventory levels to ensure availability of equipment and supplies.
