Job summary

Martin Marietta's Rock Hill Quarry in Rock Hill, South Carolina is seeking a safety-conscious Utility Person to support maintenance, production, and equipment operation. The role requires dependable, motivated individuals who can perform cross-functional tasks safely and efficiently.

Typical duties include greasing and servicing plant equipment, performing inspections, operating skid steers, loaders, and water trucks, and maintaining records and housekeeping.

Qualifications

• Possess a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• Experience in the building materials industry preferred.
• Able to work in a safety-conscious environment and follow site guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on mobile and plant equipment.
• Conduct daily pre/post-shift inspections and maintain maintenance logs.
• Operate a skid steer, front-end loader and other tools to clean around equipment.
• Operate a water truck to limit airborne dust.
• Participate in production, loading, shipping, and quality control.
• Maintain housekeeping and safe traffic flow throughout the site.
• Operate plant-specific equipment safely and use an automated scale and software to generate tickets.
