Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Quarry Supervisor to oversee daily quarry operations, ensuring safe, efficient production of sand and gravel and meeting quality targets.

You will lead quarry personnel, coordinate pit and plant operations, monitor equipment, and ensure regulatory compliance. This hands-on role demands strong leadership and a focus on safety and continuous improvement across a growing North American infrastructure business.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on experience in quarry operations or aggregate production.
• Demonstrated leadership experience supervising teams in a quarry, mining, or heavy industrial environment.
• Strong working knowledge of aggregate processing, including crushing, screening, and material handling systems.
• In‑depth understanding of safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance (MSHA/OSHA preferred).
• Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate personnel to achieve production and safety goals.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily quarry operations to ensure efficient production of sand and gravel aggregate materials while meeting quality, safety, and environmental standards.
• Lead, train, and manage quarry personnel, ensuring proper equipment operation, productivity, and adherence to company policies.
• Coordinate pit and plant operations to meet production targets and customer requirements.
• Monitor equipment performance and schedule preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend asset life.
• Enforce strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, conducting regular inspections and safety briefings.
• Track production data, inventory levels, and operating costs; prepare reports for management review.
• Collaborate with plant managers, maintenance teams, and logistics to ensure timely delivery of aggregate products.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and operational efficiency based on industry best practices and experience.
