Job summary

Peckham Industries, Inc. in Vermont is seeking a Yard Person / Plant Operator to support quarry production by operating crushers, screens, conveyors, and mobile equipment.

The role includes maintenance, material handling, and helping ensure safe, efficient operations on site. You will work with the operations and maintenance teams, perform preventive maintenance, follow safety procedures, and assist with loading, unloading, and stockpile management while adapting to production needs.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of quarry/mining/industrial plant experience with heavy equipment.
• Welding and fabrication skills with safe use of welding, cutting, grinding tools.
• Preventive maintenance and repairs on crushers, screens, conveyors, pumps, and related equipment.
• Experience safely operating loaders, haul trucks, and excavators.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and document inspections and repairs.
• High school diploma or GED; valid driver’s license; authorized to work in the U.S.
