Job summary

APAC Tennessee, Inc. near Memphis is seeking a Quarry Plant Operator to perform a range of laboring tasks at the plant, following the foreman's instructions and operating with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; plus one to two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and work with measurements using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to work various shifts (days, nights, swings).
• Must be able to pass physical fitness and agility test.

Responsibilities

• Maintain crusher, washer, and surrounding area for safe operation.
• Shovel, sweep, steam clean, paint, tire work, and provide mechanical assistance.
• Communicate production issues to supervisor or lead person.
• Willing to travel and work away from home when required; able to work nights/weekends.
• Report to work at designated start time; able to work overtime when required.
• Other duties as assigned per supervisor.
