Heidelberg Materials UK is seeking a Quarry Operative to join our team at Clee Hill. The role involves safely operating a range of plant equipment, performing daily inspections and helping to maintain a productive, safe quarry environment.

Overtime is paid at time and a half, with a competitive hourly rate of £15.23. Ideal candidates have a strong commitment to health and safety, good communication skills, and the ability to work well within a team.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 4 in English and Maths.
• Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental standards.
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow procedures.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile and static plant equipment safely and efficiently.
• Carry out daily inspections and complete required records.
• Report defects and maintenance needs promptly.
• Undertake routine maintenance tasks such as refuelling, greasing and cleaning.
• Support with operation of the main processing plant as directed by site management.
• Contribute to safe working practices and site targets.
