Job summary

Unknown seeks an industrial maintenance technician to repair and maintain production machinery in Texas. Tasks include troubleshooting, disassembly, reassembly, and verification of repaired equipment.

You will read manuals, inspect gauges, weld or fabricate parts, and program basic controls. A strong safety mindset and PPE adherence are required for this role.

Long shifts and weekend work may be necessary, with a focus on teamwork to keep plant operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to work 12+ hour shifts, weekends, overtime, and holidays as needed.
  • Able to read equipment operating manuals.
  • Must be able to complete pre-shift inspection forms.
  • Must be able to read and interpret gauges.
  • Must wear all required safety equipment & PPE.
  • Must be able to communicate over CB radio or with hand signals and warning sounds.
  • Must be service orientated with proven ability to work in a TEAM environment.

Responsibilities

  • Repair or maintain the operating condition of industrial production or processing machinery or equipment.
  • Disassemble, troubleshoot, and reassemble machinery or equipment.
  • Clean, lubricate/grease, or adjust parts, equipment, or machinery.
  • Examine parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear.
  • Operate newly repaired machinery or equipment to verify adequacy of repairs.
  • Record parts or materials used and order or requisition new parts or materials as necessary.
  • Study blueprints or manuals to determine correct installation or operation of machinery.
  • Cut and weld metal to repair or fabricate parts or equipment.
  • Enter codes and instructions to program computer-controlled machinery.
  • Demonstrate equipment functions and features to machine operators.
  • Maintain a clean environment at all plant locations.

Job description

Primary Duties
  • Repair or maintain the operating condition of industrial production or processing machinery or equipment.
  • Disassemble, troubleshoot, and reassemble machinery or equipment
  • Clean, lubricate/grease, or adjust parts, equipment, or machinery.
  • Examine parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear.
  • Operate newly repaired machinery or equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs.
  • Analyze test results, machine error messages, or information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems.
  • o VFDs, soft starts and PLCs are primary source of error messages
  • Record parts or materials used and order or requisition new parts or materials, as necessary.
  • o Including the ability to read part diagrams and order the correct parts.
  • Record repairs and maintenance performed.
  • Study blueprints or manufacturers' manuals to determine correct installation or operation of machinery.
  • Cut and weld metal to repair broken metal parts, fabricate new parts, or assemble new equipment.
  • Enter codes and instructions to program computer-controlled machinery.
  • Demonstrate equipment functions and features to machine operators.
  • Safety mindset at all times is a must.
  • Maintain a clean environment at all plant locations, including your own workspace.
Secondary Duties
  • Run equipment including plants
  • Shovel/clean areas as required
  • Perform any role on sites as requested once trained on that job.
