Quarry Maintenance Mechanic - Alexander City, AL (2nd Shift)

This is a skilled maintenance position involving the operation and repair of conveyor and crushing equipment. Quarry experience is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Thorough mechanical knowledge of crusher and related equipment.
• Analyze malfunctions, perform repairs, and rebuild conveyors and crushing equipment.
• Inspect parts for damage or excessive wear.
• Weld broken parts, structural members, and other items as necessary using stick welding processes.

• Ability to read and understand simple instructions, memos, and correspondence.
• Ability to perform basic math operations in all units of measure.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

Valid welding certifications are required.

Physical Demands

Employees must frequently sit, climb, and use hands to handle objects. Occasional standing, walking, crawling, kneeling, bending, and reaching are required. Must be able to lift/move 10-30 lbs. Vision abilities include near, far, color, peripheral, and depth perception.
