Wiregrass Construction Company, Inc. is seeking an Aggregate Equipment Operator to run heavy quarry machinery and support material extraction, movement, and processing.

The role emphasizes safety procedures, equipment maintenance, and clear communication with supervisors to meet production goals. Responsibilities include operating loaders and excavators, loading materials, inspecting equipment, and reporting issues.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating heavy equipment in a quarry, mining, construction, or similar environment preferred.
• Ability to safely operate multiple types of heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of equipment safety practices and operational procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment in varying weather conditions.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to follow all safety procedures and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, haul trucks, dozers, and other quarry-related machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
• Load and transport raw materials including rock, gravel, sand, and other aggregates throughout the quarry site.
• Perform daily pre-operation and post-operation equipment inspections including checking oil, fuel, fluids, tires, lights, and safety devices.
• Report equipment malfunctions, mechanical issues, or safety hazards to supervisors immediately.
• Assist with stockpiling, material handling, and feeding crushers, screens, and other processing equipment.
• Maintain proper production flow by coordinating with supervisors, plant operators, and other equipment operators.
• Follow established quarry safety procedures, MSHA regulations, and company policies at all times.
• Maintain work areas in a clean and orderly condition.
• Assist with basic maintenance and fueling of equipment as needed.
• Support other quarry operations as directed by supervisors.
