The Haul Truck Driver for Martin Marietta is a critical member of the quarry production team, responsible for the safe and efficient transport of rock and aggregate from the extraction face to the processing plant. This role operates 60–70 ton haul trucks and performs basic equipment maintenance.

The ideal candidate is safety-minded, dependable, and able to work under MSHA regulations in outdoor, dusty conditions. Union Local 3 membership applies.

Competenze

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• No prior experience required; 6 months to 1 year preferred.
• Previous haul truck driver experience is a plus.
• MSHA compliance knowledge and safety awareness.

Mansioni

• Safely operate off-highway haul trucks to transport rock and overburden.
• Position truck under loaders for filling and unloading in tight areas.
• Support production by managing surge piles and stockpiles.
• Operate secondary equipment as needed to maintain site cleanliness.
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift safety inspections.
• Follow MSHA guidelines to maintain a zero-incident environment.
• Report mechanical issues to the supervisor immediately.
• Perform minor maintenance such as fluids and greasing.
• Keep cab and exterior clean and maintain housekeeping.
• Coordinate with loaders and plant personnel via two-way radio.
• Maintain daily logs of loads hauled and engine hours.
• Perform water truck duties as required.
