Job summary

Maine Drilling & Blasting Inc is seeking an experienced Drill Operator to safely perform construction or quarry drilling with DTH drills, with top hammer as needed. Work centers in eastern NC with potential travel to other areas; long shifts may apply.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hydraulic equipment operating experience.
• Valid Driver's License with reliable transportation.
• Pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Background screening for ATF.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform drilling activity per job program to meet production targets.
• Follow safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct daily maintenance for safe, efficient equipment operation.
• Understand drill patterns and execute layouts as directed.
• Complete drill reports, hole sheets and timecards accurately.
• Communicate terrain and problem conditions to supervision.
• Participate in safety and job-specific meetings.
• Possess ability to work unsupervised and complete Driller I & II training.
