Job summary

Maine Drilling & Blasting Inc is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator/Driller Trainee for our quarry operations. You will operate backhoes, skid steers, excavators, and loaders while learning drilling and blasting techniques under supervision.

Qualifications

• Equipment operating experience is helpful.
• Valid Driver's License with own transportation.
• Experience as construction laborer.
• High level of common sense relative to equipment operation.
• Mechanical aptitude with equipment, motors, hydraulics, electrical systems.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Must pass ATF background screening.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy construction equipment safely as directed by Supervisors, Blasting Supervisor or Drill Operators.
• Learn drill patterns and terminology and execute patterns as directed by Foreman.
• Perform daily maintenance for safe, efficient operation of equipment.
• Adhere to Company Safety Policies and Procedures.
• Coordinate with Blaster/Foreman and understand field accounting systems.
