General Infomatics, Inc. is seeking a Quantum Technology Subject Matter Expert to provide independent technical advice to the DoD TRMC program office in Alexandria, VA.

This full-time civil contract role focuses on the readiness and transition of quantum technologies, including computing, sensing, communications, timing, and post-quantum security. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Physics, Quantum Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or related field, with required experience.
  • Expertise in at least one: quantum computing, sensing, communications, or quantum cybersecurity.
  • Experience evaluating emerging technologies and producing defensible findings.
  • Ability to connect science to defense missions and test needs.
  • Experience across interdisciplinary groups.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to explain complex concepts to leaders.
  • U.S. citizenship and TS clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as program office's principal technical advisor for QIST and DoD T&E applications.
  • Assess maturity, claims, limitations, dependencies, security, and relevance of quantum tech.
  • Develop and maintain a quantum technology roadmap with opportunities and transitions.
  • Translate needs into technical use cases, tests, and performance measures.
  • Advise on test methodologies, modeling, and data requirements for quantum systems.
  • Conduct literature reviews, vendor assessments, and tech analyses.
  • Identify gaps in infrastructure, cybersecurity, and workforce for quantum tech.
  • Support studies, experiments, and pilot efforts; review schedules and risks.
  • Evaluate proposals and acquisition docs; provide actionable findings.
  • Coordinate exchanges with DoD components, labs, and industry.
  • Prepare executive briefings and technical reports for leadership.
  • Track risks and mitigation actions across program.
  • Promote vendor-neutral decisions and avoid overstatement of claims.
  • Protect information and comply with security requirements.
