Job summary

Quantinuum in Broomfield, CO, is seeking a Systems Engineering Intern for Summer 2027. The role targets a student entering their senior year or a graduate student in systems engineering or related fields.

Responsibilities include test development, system modeling, interface definition, and requirements allocation for next‑generation quantum computing systems. Must be U.S. person due to security requirements and be willing to work on-site in summer 2027.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s, master’s or PhD program and graduating in 2027 or later.
• U.S. person due to contractual requirements (citizen, permanent resident or green card holder).
• Due to national security requirements, PRC or Russian nationals must be U.S. citizens to be eligible.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute tests for next‑generation systems, including writing test code, building test pipelines, and documenting results.
• Support design, assembly, and validation of test hardware used to evaluate system performance and interfaces.
• Create SysML models to support interface control, system architecture, and cross‑functional communication.
• Assist with requirements decomposition, allocation, traceability, and verification planning.
