Atom Computing, Inc. is seeking a Quantum Software Manager in Berkeley, CA.

You will lead a mixed team of software engineers and quantum software engineers, shaping the direction of software supporting research workflows and production-grade tools for fault-tolerant quantum computing. You will interface with physicists, mathematicians, and the quantum error correction team while balancing hands-on coding with leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a small engineering team.
• 5+ years of post-degree software engineering experience.
• BS/MS/PhD in a relevant field.
• Proven track record delivering complex software.
• Background in research-oriented software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of approximately 5 software engineers and quantum software engineers.
• Support the development of research-oriented software and associated workflows.
• Work with physicists and mathematicians to develop production-grade software for running fault-tolerant quantum computing.
• Collaborate with the quantum error correction team to address use cases and deliver developer experiences.
