Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a QPDK Architect to lead the development of Quantum PDK infrastructure, guiding architecture, governance, and delivery across development, release management, automation, and design enablement flows.

The role requires deep PDK expertise, cross-functional leadership, and a commitment to LEAN practices while driving timely QPDK releases, with up to 10% travel. Based in the United States, New York, Town of Malta.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years in semiconductor PDK development or design enablement.
• Deep expertise in at least one major PDK development area.
• Experience with source-control systems, release management, and EDA tool flows.
• Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional technical initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain architecture for all Quantum PDKs (QPDKs).
• Create QPDKs from GF PDKs with balance of reuse and customization.
• Drive LEAN PDK philosophy; remove legacy content while preserving functionality.
• Own QPDK version control, release baselines, branching and access control.
• Define and improve QPDK development, QA, release, and change-management processes.
• Drive timely, high-quality QPDK releases through governance and planning.
• Evaluate updates from source PDKs and selectively integrate improvements.
• Leverage AI and automation to boost QPDK development efficiency.
• Mentor and provide architectural reviews across the QPDK organization.
• Maintain expertise in at least one core PDK discipline and contribute to development.
• Ensure activities safe and compliant with EH&S requirements.
