Job summary
Quantum Computing Inc. is seeking an experienced Quantum Optical Engineer to design, test, and optimize remote sensing and secure communication systems. The role blends hands-on lab work with system-level optical design across concepts to production, collaborating with hardware, software, and firmware teams.

Qualifications
- Master’s or PhD in Optical Engineering, Physics, Photonics or equivalent.
- 3–5 years hands-on experience with laser systems, free-space and fiber optics.
- Background in optoelectronics and WDM techniques for telecom applications.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop optical setups for LiDAR experiments, beam shaping, collimation, range-gating techniques.
- Develop and test single-photon sensitive vibrometer and communications systems.
- Experimentally validate and characterize optical components and subsystems.
- Support research on optical fault detection methodologies based on vibrometry.
- Develop recording techniques for entangled photons used in secure communications and data processing.
