Job summary

MIT Lincoln Laboratory's Optical and Quantum Communication Group is advancing quantum and classical optical systems for terrestrial, space, and underwater applications. The role focuses on contributing to research and development activities in quantum networking and free-space optical communications, including integration and lab/field testing.

The successful candidate will join a team working on entangled photon sources, quantum memory subsystems, adaptive optics, and optical modem

Qualifications

  • B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering or Physics with experience or coursework in nonlinear optics and/or quantum mechanics.

Responsibilities

  • Support integration and testing of quantum networking and free-space optical communications technologies in a laboratory environment and field testbeds.
  • Collaborate with other staff on ongoing quantum technology development and free-space laser communication terminal testing.

Education

B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering or Physics
