Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with eight years of related experience or equivalent
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance and SCI access
• Experience leading high-risk, high-impact, multidisciplinary R&D programs

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team of scientists, postdocs, students, and collaborators.
• Partner with staff, managers, university collaborators, and sponsors to deliver on technical commitments.
• Shape and communicate Sandia's strategy for quantum information science at laboratory, regional, and national levels.
• Represent Sandia's quantum computing portfolio to internal leadership, sponsors, partners, and stakeholders.
• Develop new programs, partnerships, proposals, and technical directions aligned with Sandia's mission.
• Recruit, hire, retain, mentor, and develop QIS leaders; build trusted cross-sector relationships.
