Job summary

Quantinuum is seeking a Hardware Operations Engineer in Salt Lake City, UT to install, operate, and maintain the Helios quantum computer as part of a cross-functional team. The role requires a Ph.D. and at least 6 years of post-graduate experience, with strict U.S.

person status for contractual and security reasons. You will develop and improve operating procedures, train colleagues, and remotely support other Quantinuum systems as part of a global effort.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. is required for the role.
• Minimum 6 years of post-graduate experience (M.S. or Ph.D. inclusive).
• Due to contractual requirements, must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident or green card holder, asylum or refugee status).
• National security restrictions apply regarding PRC/Russian nationals.

Responsibilities

• Install, operate, and maintain the Helios quantum computer as part of a cross-functional team.
• Serve as technical expert on the quantum computer.
• Develop, execute, and improve operations and maintenance procedures and documentation.
• Mentor colleagues on system operation and maintenance.
• Remotely operate and maintain other Quantinuum systems as part of a global team.
