Job summary

Conductor Quantum is building quantum software hardware that enables calibration automation and scalable control of trapped ion platforms. You will work across the full ion-trap stack, from loading and cooling to hosting a platform accessible via a chat-style interface for researchers and AI agents.

The role is high-impact with ownership, requiring collaboration with physicists, ML engineers, and backend developers to integrate hardware, software, and data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop calibration routines for ion traps: drive loading, cooling, and chain readiness.
• Calibrate and benchmark single-qubit and two-qubit gates; analyze error sources and mitigate.
• Automate calibration software and integrate with ML and hardware teams.
• Develop a stable control stack to keep systems online; diagnose micromotion and fidelity drift.
• Collaborate with physicists, ML engineers, and backend developers to unify hardware and data pipelines.
• Lead trapped ion operations and help define the control roadmap.
