Job summary

Pasqal is seeking a Quantum Error Correction Manager (W/M) to lead the QEC team within its Hardware department. The role focuses on designing fault-tolerant codes, developing encoders/decoders, and maintaining software aligned with the hardware roadmap.

You will supervise the team, coordinate with theory and experiment groups, and contribute to grant proposals and IP discussions. The position is remote-friendly with a flexible rhythm of on-site collaboration in Massy/Paris area, France, and

Qualifications

• PhD in quantum physics required or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience in quantum error correction, with leadership experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of quantum information theory and QEC.
• Experience managing small teams and projects.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a roadmap for the QEC team, aligned with the hardware roadmap.
• Propose and monitor a schedule of tasks for team members, with project managers.
• Participate in recruitment of new team members.
• Ensure regular reporting on progress to management and stakeholders.
• Supervise and develop the skills of team members.
• Coordinate team work with other teams and projects.
• Maintain high quality in reports and technical documents.
