Job summary

NVIDIA seeks a passionate quantum computing expert to lead developer relations across the federal research community. You will drive adoption of CUDA-Q, cuQuantum, CUDA-Q QEC, and NVQLink, and serve as the bridge between mission scientists and NVIDIA product/engineering teams. Expect to run workshops, present at conferences, and cultivate collaborators nationwide.

This role requires 8+ years in quantum info science, U.S. citizenship, and readiness to travel ~40% across the United States.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in physics, CS, EE, applied math, chemistry, or related field (PhD preferred).
  • 8+ years in quantum information science, with 5+ years in industry or national lab.
  • Demonstrated expertise in quantum algorithms, quantum error correction, or hardware and control systems.
  • Hands-on background in scientific computing, HPC, or GPU-accelerated software development.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking to technical audiences.
  • Willingness to travel frequently (~40%) to national labs, federal sites, and conferences in the US.
  • U.S. citizenship and security clearance required; active TS/SCI or DOE Q clearance strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and sustain technical knowledge in quantum workloads for the federal research community.
  • Lead strategic collaborations with national labs and federal programs.
  • Embed the NVIDIA quantum stack into production research workflows at labs and facilities.
  • Conduct workshops, hackathons, and training at national labs and conferences.
  • Identify opportunities in quantum simulation, error correction, and AI applications, and inform roadmaps.
  • Engage with senior technical leaders to address QPU-GPU integration and real-time control challenges.
