The Tudor Rose Partnership LLP is seeking Quantum Consultants and Senior Consultants to work on a range of commissions, independently or as part of a team, in the UK & Ireland.

Qualifications

  • Minimum five years’ experience as a quantity surveyor from either a client or contractor background.
  • Experience providing commercial support in a client-facing environment.
  • Excellent working knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts.
  • Skilled in the management of procurement strategy and contract administration.
  • A solid understanding of contract and law within the construction industry, with focus on damages.
  • Excellent team working skills and ability to work autonomously.
  • Strong written and oral presentation skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements and organize others on multiple commissions.
  • Robust knowledge of construction techniques.

Job Description

JOB PURPOSE: We are looking for Quantum Consultants and Senior Consultants. The successful applicant will be required to work on a variety of commissions, both independently and as part of a team.

Key Accountabilities
  • Forensic investigation of project accounts.
  • The preparation of final accounts to ‘adjudication’ standard.
  • Calculation of damages incurred as a result of delay or breach of contract.
  • The preparation of written reports for use in dispute resolution processes, including mediation, adjudication and litigation; prepared as either advocate or independent expert.
  • Party representation or defence in formal proceedings including adjudication and mediation.
  • Provision of commercial support on live commissions including management of client teams and commercial advice.
The Successful Individual Must Have The Following
  • A minimum five years’ experience as a quantity surveyor from either a client or contractor background.
  • Experience of providing commercial support in a client facing environment.
  • Excellent working knowledge of various standard forms including NEC and JCT.
  • Skilled in the management of procurement strategy and contract administration.
  • A solid understanding of contract and law within the construction industry, with a particular focus on matters relating to the assessment and calculation of damages.
  • Excellent team working skills along with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Strong written and oral presentation skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements and circumstances.
  • The ability to work on multiple commissions as well as to organise and oversee others involved in those commissions.
  • A robust knowledge of construction techniques.
  • A relevant construction degree.
The Following Attributes Are Also Desirable, But Not Essential
  • Postgraduate degree in construction law or similar.
  • Membership of a professional body.
  • A proven track record of working in the dispute resolution field.
  • Experience acting as or supporting Expert Witness.
