Infleqtion, Inc. is seeking a Quantum Software Engineer to join the Compiler Team, designing, building, and maintaining quantum compilation software across the full stack—from applications to hardware and control.

This role blends hands-on coding, code review, and system design with R&D. This position is open to both entry-level and senior candidates and requires a strong software background, Python proficiency, and experience with Cirq or Qiskit; occasional travel may be requested.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, physics or a directly related field.
• Strong programming skills with fluency in Python; other languages such as C/C++ or Julia a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct R&D toward cutting-edge advances in quantum technology with a focus on quantum compilation.
• Deploy software optimizations to the cloud platform using professional software engineering practices.
• Interface with customers to understand needs and provide timely support.
• Contribute to government and commercial proposals and execution on global programs.
• Collaborate with experimental physicists and software engineers to bridge theory and practice.
• Publish research findings and present at conferences.
• Stay updated on quantum computer architecture and compilation developments.
• Provide guidance to team members and foster a collaborative research environment.
