Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to manage project costs for residential and commercial developments in Paarl, Western Cape. You will oversee budgets, valuations, claims, and final accounts while advising on cost management and contracts.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, 5+ years of experience, and strong knowledge of JBCC/NEC contracts. Registration with SACQSP is highly advantageous.

• Proficiency in cost estimating software and MS Office.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in quantity surveying, preferably with residential and commercial exposure.

About the Role

Our client, a respected firm within the construction industry, is seeking a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to manage project costs for a portfolio of residential and commercial developments in Paarl, Western Cape . This role is crucial for ensuring the financial success of projects by managing budgets, valuations, claims, and final accounts. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, contractors, and clients, providing expert advice on cost management and contractual matters. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for residential and commercial construction projects.
• Manage the tender process, including preparing tender documentation and evaluating submissions.

• Manage project final accounts and resolve any discrepancies or disputes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification.
• Professional registration with SACQSP is highly advantageous.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably with exposure to both residential and commercial projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., JBCC, NEC).
• Proficiency in cost estimating software and MS Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and negotiation skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
