Job summary

Google LLC is seeking a Quantitative UX Researcher for the Geo Makers team in Mountain View, CA. You will drive user behavior insights through empirical methods and collaborate with Engineering and Product Management to shape geospatial products.

The role emphasizes statistics, programming, and cross-functional collaboration, with opportunities to impact Maps platforms and developer tools across Google’s geospatial ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HCI, Statistics, CS, Economics, Psychology, Data Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1 year of experience in an applied UX research setting (product or academic).
• Experience in programming languages used for data manipulation and computational statistics (Python, R, MATLAB, C++, Java, or Go).

Responsibilities

• Query, clean, and model user interaction logs and product telemetry to understand developer workflows and platform engagement.
• Define, validate, and track user-centric metrics and UX key results to support product-led growth with cross-functional teams.
• Translate statistical analyses into clear briefs, dashboards, and decision frameworks for stakeholders.
• Advance telemetry schemas, logging standards, and taxonomies to evaluate AI tooling and APIs.
• Analyze prompt and log data for AI applications to inform product strategy and tech specs.
