Job summary

Storm4 is partnering with a proprietary quantitative commodity trading hedge fund to launch its US power trading operation. We seek an experienced Virtuals and DART Trader to build a data-driven trading platform from day one, with significant upside tied to performance.

The role offers a flexible/hybrid location, a competitive base salary of $150k plus a meaningful percentage of the trading book, and the autonomy to shape strategy.

Qualifications

• Experience trading Virtuals and DART strategies across power ISO markets.
• Strong understanding of nodal markets, congestion, and transmission flows.
• Experience developing quantitative, systematic, or algorithmic trading strategies.
• Ability to identify and exploit DA/RT dislocations at scale.
• Python, statistical modelling, or data science experience is highly desirable.

Senior Power Trader / Quantitative Trader

I'm working with a proprietary quantitative commodity trading hedge fund that is looking to launch its US power trading operation.

The team is looking for an experienced Virtuals and DART Trader with a strong track record generating PnL across North American power markets. This is a unique opportunity to join at the ground floor and help build out a systematic, data-driven trading platform with significant upside tied directly to performance.

What they're looking for:

• Proven profitability trading Virtuals and DART strategies across PJM, ERCOT, MISO, SPP, CAISO, or other ISO markets
• Strong understanding of nodal markets, congestion, transmission flows, and market fundamentals
• Experience developing quantitative, systematic, or algorithmic trading strategies
• Ability to identify and exploit DA/RT dislocations at scale
• Python, statistical modelling, or data science experience is highly desirable
