Job summary

American Institutes for Research (AIR) seeks a Quantitative Research Associate to support applied research, evaluation, and technical assistance across Human and Community Development projects. You’ll work on interdisciplinary teams, contributing to research, data collection, and analysis in multiple policy areas.

The role includes literature reviews, data synthesis, reporting, and supporting business development activities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in social sciences, statistics, data science, mathematics, or related field with 2+ years of experience, or a Master's in one of these fields.
Experience conducting quantitative data collection.
Experience managing and cleaning quantitative data.
Experience using quantitative data analysis software, such as Stata or R.

Responsibilities

Assist project teams by compiling and synthesizing information, including literature reviews and policy scans.
Participate in collection and review of research and evaluation data.
Analyze quantitative and qualitative data and contribute to interpretation and reporting of findings.
Prepare documents, report sections, briefs, charts, and graphs describing analysis results.
Support proposal writing and business development activities.
Support project management activities, including timelines, meetings, and progress tracking.
