Job summary

The American Institutes for Research (AIR) seeks a Quantitative Research Associate to support applied research, evaluation, and technical assistance projects within the Human and Community Development program in Chapel Hill, NC.

You will join interdisciplinary project teams, contribute to literature reviews, data collection, analysis in Stata and R, and help prepare reports and briefs for policy audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social sciences, statistics, data science, mathematics, or related field with 2+ years of experience or a Master's degree.
• Experience conducting quantitative data collection and cleaning.
• Experience using quantitative data analysis software such as Stata or R.

Responsibilities

• Assist project teams with literature reviews and policy scans.
• Collect and review research and evaluation data.
• Analyze quantitative and qualitative data and help interpret findings.
• Prepare charts, graphs, and briefs describing analysis results.
• Support proposal writing and business development activities.
• Support project management including timelines and meetings.
