Job summary

Lazard is seeking a Quantitative Research Analyst for the Leveraged Loans and High Yield team in New York City. The role blends investing, research engineering and platform development to architect data, analytics and workflows that inform idea generation, portfolio construction and risk management.

With 2–4 years of relevant experience, you’ll build production-grade tools and models, partner with portfolio managers, and help scale engineering practices.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of professional experience in credit research, quantitative analysis, investment technology, data science or research engineering.
• Strong programming skills with Python; SQL is preferred.
• Experience designing internal tools or analytics workflows that support investment decisions.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the credit investment process with ownership from idea to implementation.
• Develop quantitative models for value, risk, factor exposures and dynamics across loans/high yield.
• Create data pipelines, research tools and dashboards for market indicators and workflows.
• Support portfolio analytics including scenario analysis, stress testing and attribution.
• Own elements of the software development lifecycle for internal research tools.
