Job summary

Fanatics is seeking a Quantitative Analyst in a hybrid Denver role, blending sports trading, mathematics and data science. You will analyze sport and betting data, develop predictive models, and support trading decisions alongside senior quants, traders, engineers and product managers.

You’ll apply statistical techniques, implement models in Python or C#, and document methodologies for internal use. A quantitative degree and strong analytical skills are essential; knowledge of machine learning

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• Outstanding mathematical, statistical and analytical skills.
• Excellent work ethic and good team skills
• Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to producing high-quality work and adhering to best practices in quantitative analysis and research.
• Strong understanding of more advanced machine learning techniques is a plus
• Proficiency in at least one programming languages such as Python, C#, R, or C++ is a plus

Responsibilities

• Model Development: Assist in development, implementation, training and testing of mathematical models for pricing & managing risk of sport betting events.
• Data Sourcing & Analysis: Collect and clean sports-related data; analyze large datasets of play-by-play and betting data to identify patterns and inform trading strategies.
• Programming: Use Python, C#, R or C++ to develop quantitative models, code and automate analytical processes.
• Collaboration & Documentation: Work with senior analysts, traders and product managers to understand requirements and document methodologies and analyses.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated on developments in quantitative analysis & betting markets through self-study and training.
