Job summary

Man Group in the United States seeks a highly analytical data scientist to join the Systematic Portfolio Analytics team. You will develop analytics, KPIs and insights across the firm’s AHL and Numeric platforms to inform investment decisions.

The role emphasizes coding, data engineering, and collaboration with traders, researchers and technologists across the Atlantic, with a base salary range of $110,000 to $130,000 plus bonus potential and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Strong analytical & statistical skills and ability to translate into pragmatic solutions.
Comfortable with large datasets and risk management techniques.
Expertise in a high-level programming language (Python) and its scientific stack (NumPy/SciPy/Pandas).
Experience with modern AI tooling is a plus.

Responsibilities

Adopt AI and cutting-edge tooling to multiply your own output and the team's output.
Work with vast amounts of data across both AHL and Numeric.
Develop analytics, KPIs and metrics that turn raw data into intelligence.
Carry out research aimed at uncovering non-obvious insights about strategies, signals and portfolios.
Write code, build reporting mechanisms, and create tools used by PMs and researchers.
Rapidly build a deep understanding of the systematic estate and generate cross-functional insights.
