Job summary

Oatey is seeking a Quality Validation Engineer to analyze test data, identify defect causes, and drive corrective actions. You will improve product quality by evaluating design and confirming performance against intent, collaborating with NPD and quality teams.

Responsibilities include DFMEA support, CTQ documentation, and developing robust design validation plans. Experience with ISO/Lean/Six Sigma and measurement systems is highly valued, along with strong communication and training skills.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of Quality Engineering experience.
• In-depth knowledge of quality and quality management processes (APQP, PFMEA, MSA, PPAP, SPC, Root Cause Analysis).
• Experience with operating analytical quality measurement systems (CMM, optical comparator).
• Industry experience with molding, metal, or chemical processing.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with NPD to define CTQ features and performance requirements.
• Contribute to DFMEA with proper CTQ documentation and RPN weights.
• Develop a design validation plan to verify product performance against design intent.
• Coordinate with Quality Managers to address PFMEA CTQs.
• Support quality system processes by investigating potential design flaws.
• Operate and train associates on key analytical equipment and software for quality analysis.
