Job summary

AAON, Inc. is seeking an on-site Training Specialist in Redmond, OR to create, implement, and maintain training for coatings equipment and related safety procedures.

You will design materials, schedule sessions with internal teams and vendors, and track attendance and certifications, ensuring competency and regulatory compliance. The role emphasizes multimedia content creation, performance feedback, and collaboration with diverse teams in a dynamic warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 1+ year in inventory control, shipping or equivalent.
• Preferred: experience in quality training leadership and familiarity with equipment used in inventory control and shipping operations.
• Forklift licenses required or ability to obtain instructor certifications.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain operational and safety procedures for coatings equipment.
• Schedule and coordinate training sessions with internal teams and external vendors.
• Design and update training materials, including multimedia content and evaluation tools.
• Monitor trainee performance and provide coaching for competency and safety compliance.
• Maintain records of training activities, attendance, and certifications.
• Assist in evaluating job performance and testing potential new hires.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
