Job summary

Milo’s Tea Company Inc. is seeking a Quality Trainee for an overnight shift in Moore, SC. You will enforce quality standards and assist with daily quality checks, ensuring GMP/SQF compliance and proper calibration of lab equipment.

The role requires an Associate degree or equivalent; a biology/food science chemistry background is preferred, with 3+ years of related experience acceptable. Odaky occasional overtime and weekend work are expected.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s in Biology, Food Science or Chemistry preferred.
• Three years related experience or training acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all products meet Milo’s quality standards.
• Obtain samples for bacteria plating and daily quality checks.
• Monitor GMP or SQF requirements compliance.
• Maintain lab/testing equipment and calibrate per schedule.
• Assist with receipt of raw ingredients and testing.
• Perform routine tests: weights, volumes, colors, codes, packaging integrity.
• Perform environmental testing of air, water, and bacteria.
• Report concerns to the QA Manager; adhere to FIFO.
• Overtime and weekend work as required.
• Support Corporate Responsibility programs.

Some weekend work required.RESPONSIBILITIESEnsure all products are produced per Milo’s quality standards.Obtain samples for bacteria plating and daily quality checks as needed.Monitor compliance with and administer GMP or SQF requirements.Ensure Food Safety and Food Quality compliance as directed.Maintain all laboratory and testing equipment and perform calibrations per schedule.Assist with the receipt of raw ingredients and sample, test and/or review.Monitor FIFO and communicate concerns to the QA Manager.Perform testing and document weights, volumes, colors, brix, codes, packaging integrity, and other routine testing as required.Perform environmental testing of air, water, and bacteria according to schedules.Perform additional duties as directed by the QA Manager.Must be able to work overtime and weekends as required.Collect and prepare samples for shipment as needed.Uphold and participate in all Corporate Responsibility programming including recycling, social advocacy and MMAD volunteering opportunities.Invest in and is an example of Milo’s Responsibility commitment which includes environmental, social, and corporate governance components.QUALIFICATIONSApplicants must have an Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school minimum.
