Job summary

OSI Group in Kokomo, Indiana, seeks a Quality Assurance Technician to lead and perform a variety of tests on equipment, raw materials, finished products, and in-process items. You will document results and report per established procedures, while training staff and maintaining a compliant testing environment.

The role requires 2–5 years in food manufacturing/quality control, basic math, data entry, and following instructions.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
2–5 years of experience in food manufacturing/quality control.
Ability to perform basic math and enter data accurately.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

Lead employees in quality testing and testing procedures.
Train staff and resolve simple conflicts or testing difficulties.
Collaborate with QA team to ensure tests are conducted properly and supplies are available.
Obtain, prepare, and conduct sample analysis using lab testing equipment.
Swab production areas and test for bacterial analysis per procedures.
Inspect equipment for rust and condensation; document results.
Conduct audits including temperature checks on outbound product and packaging counts.
Interpret and record all test results and generate reports.
Maintain clean, sanitary testing environment and comply with GMP and safety rules.
Perform other duties as assigned.
