Job summary

Greatlink International, Inc. is seeking a Quality Test Technician to serve as the final check before products ship.

You will test and inspect finished assemblies, audit for cosmetic defects, determine root causes, coordinate rework with the assembly team, and document findings. You will use hi-pot testers, continuity testers, multimeters, pull testers, network analyzers, and automated test systems to verify cable assemblies and wire harnesses.

Qualifications

• Ability to read wiring schematics, diagrams, BOMs and understand their use.
• Inspect crimps and solder joints and explain why one is good or bad.
• Hands-on with test equipment and assembly tools, including soldering stations.
• Clear communication in writing and verbally, able to explain problems clearly.

Responsibilities

• Test cable assemblies and wire harnesses using hi-pot testers, continuity testers, multimeters, pull testers, network analyzers and automated test systems.
• Inspect crimps, solder joints and workmanship against drawings and standards.
• Troubleshoot failed parts, find root cause, coordinate rework and verify fix.
• Record test results, maintain logs and write inspection reports.
• Build and maintain test fixtures and equipment.
• Approve finished products for shipment.
• Spot problems in production and suggest improvements.
• Keep work area clean, safe and organized.

Greatlink International, Inc. builds custom cable assemblies and wire harnesses. As our Quality Test Technician, you're the final check before products ship to customers. You'll test and inspect finished assemblies, audit them for cosmetic defects, figure out why a part fails, work with the assembly team to get it fixed, and document what you found.

What You'll Do In This Role

• Test cable assemblies and wire harnesses using hi-pot testers, continuity testers, multimeters, pull testers, network analyzers, and automated test systems
• Inspect crimps, solder joints, and overall workmanship against customer drawings and industry standards
• Troubleshoot failed parts, find the root cause, coordinate rework with assembly, and verify the fix
• Record test results, maintain test logs, and write inspection reports
• Build and maintain test fixtures and equipment
• Approve finished products for shipment
• Spot problems in production and suggest improvements
• Keep your work area clean, safe, and organizedOther duties as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to read wiring schematics, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and BOMs and understand how they are used.
• Ability to inspect assemblies for good crimps or solder joint from a bad one, and explain why
• Hands-on experience with test equipment (multimeters, hi-pot testers, continuity testers, automated test systems), soldering stations, and assembly hand tools
• Clear communication, in person and in writing: you can explain what the problem was, what tools you used, and how you solved it
• Coachable and comfortable speaking up and asking questions
• Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
